Google Maps Navigation Beta Launched For Android 2.0 and Beyond

This is very exciting. Mostly because its free and because most Smartphones do not connect to the Google cloud. Google Maps Navigation and Android 2.0 does so users can utilize the power of Google and the Internet to find destinations. The first phone to have Google Maps Navigation and Android 2.0 is the Droid from Verizon.
This new feature comes with everything you'd expect to find in a GPS navigation system, like 3D views, turn-by-turn voice guidance and automatic rerouting. But unlike most navigation systems, Google Maps Navigation was built from the ground up to take advantage of your phone's Internet connection.

This is just one more reason the Droid will change how Cell Phone Users use there devices in the future. You can get maps on any phone but most charge extra. The Nuvifone comes with maps but others like iPhone make users purchase a application. BTW you use the GMaps with other phones without a Android based OS.
